If your in the uk, in the middlands area, how do you get work as a make up artist?

I live in the middlands and was wondering how you can get work as a make up artist? By the way im a teenager, looking into makeup as a career.If your in the uk, in the middlands area, how do you get work as a make up artist?
If you do the right courses you should meet people who work in that field. If not there are definitely Broadcasting Studio's around there who will use Makeup Artists for the TV people. If not try some beauty salons (specially places that do wedding styling) or even modelling agencies.


In these kind of careers ALWAYS ask for work experience first! They will take you onboard if you are good but if not then at least you have the experience. If you dont want to get into anything like that maybe try going to a salon and (providing you have the right qualifications) suggesting they start up a makeup section and offer your services?


Theres so many different things you can do, and no need to be in Central London either!
