Do you need to be at art to be a make up artist?

My art is not very good and i am going to be doing a make up course at college, is there a lot of good art involved in the course?Do you need to be at art to be a make up artist?
no you just need to understand the effect that color has





some colors bring out features some recess them etc...Do you need to be at art to be a make up artist?
no you dont have to, but taking an art class does help. It helps you understand about shadows (which is good to know if you want to learn how to enhance someone's features with makeup), and how to blend colors along with contrasts and matching. Maybe you should give it a try.
No you don't but it would help, if at the end of your course you wanted to be a makeup artist for a movie studio or the theater.
As a retired art teacher, I would prefer a student who does not think he is very good. If a student thinks or has been told that they are good often have picked up a lot of bad habits that they are determined not to let go of. Just go into the class to have fun and you may just shine as the best of the class. I have seen it happen over and over again. Remember to have fun.
