Considering a move to paris is there potential for work as a make up artist coming in from Scotland? ?

I am considering leaving scotland for Paris, I am a trained make up artist with years of experience in theatre, film and fashion. I would like to being to work and live there even in the short term, any advice would be gratefully recieved. Considering a move to paris is there potential for work as a make up artist coming in from Scotland? ?
First you need to be totally fluent in French, way beyond degree level.

Second you would need to be an outstanding make up artist, very original and quite gifted.

Third, the competition for this type of work is fierce and most vacancies are filled by personal recommendation.

In reality your chances are slim to noneConsidering a move to paris is there potential for work as a make up artist coming in from Scotland? ?
Perhaps you may to offer your service to the tourist ladies in a exclusive boutique or just where the photographer and painter are making pictures. I thing, a lady prefers to look nicely before being cought in the act.

It's really hard to get a job in the branches you ask. To be good, it's not enough.
Try a year in Paris, rent a place and give it a go. You have nothing to lose, your life experience will be richer if not you pocket.
