First of all you have to go to Cosmetologist school. Which usually takes about a year.
But yes, many salons have hairdressers and estheticians do make up as well.
*On a side note, there are a lot of idiots on here who have NO clue and ask stupid questions. There is no need to be defensive and rude. How do I know if you know or not if you know you have to go to school? You didn't say. I am in the business, and yes there are lots of places that do both. But it also depends where you live. Especially if you do bridal. Which you can do the hair and make up. BUT with that attitude, don't know how far you will make it. You have to put up with a lot of high maintenance people.*
