I am a freelance makeup artist in Los Angeles, and my rates start at $75 for one look, $200 for 4 hours, and $400 for 8 hours. So, around $50 an hour, but I have worked for up to $150 an hour for more complicated jobs on location....How much do make up artist make an hour?

it is usually nort per hour but per session. $65 for regular make-up, wedding makeup more...then they usually have to split that with the salon 50% and then they get to keep the tip too!
