What is the difference between a make-up artist and a cosmetologist?

I don't understand,what are the differences between these two?What is the difference between a make-up artist and a cosmetologist?
I believe you have to go to school as a cosmetologist in order to become a makeup artist. Cosmetology teaches everything; hair, nails, makeup, etc. You need a cosmetology license in order to work as a professional hair or makeup stylists. The process usually takes six months to a year, depending on certain requirements that vary from state to state. I think it's better if you know how to do a little bit of everything. It increases the jobs you can take on.What is the difference between a make-up artist and a cosmetologist?
A Cosmetologist is Taught Makeup, nails And MOSTLY hair!!!





You DONT need to be a cosmetologist to become a makeup artist!! They Have Makeup Schools for that , And in reality you dont NEED To have any training to be a makeup artist But it helps!!!





A cosmetologist ONLY is taught makeup that will get them to pass the State Board test it wont teach fashion or tricks or tips on how to apply it best! (TRust me I went to both cosmetology %26amp; Makeup School)





In Order to do Hair %26amp; Get paid You have to have a License in hair (Cosmetology)





If you want to be a Makeup artist A Liscence is not REQUIRED but it helps so does a certificate!!!
Cosmetology is Hair, Nails and Skin..When you become a Cosmetologist, You will be licensed in all three, Skin includeds Make up.

Make-up artists specialize in strictly make-up. A cosmetologist works with hair, nails, make-up and skincare, and sometimes muscle massage. An esthetician works mainly with skincare and sometimes make-up.
