How much is the going rate for a make-up artist?

I've been going make-up for my friend from time to time for free because I enjoy it. Well, word got out that I'm pretty good and I'm getting calls for Prom Make-up.





How much do make-up artists usually charge to do prom make-up when they have their own foundation?How much is the going rate for a make-up artist?
I'd start small, about $50, seeing as you don't have a professional make-up degree people might not want to pay the full 70-100 for make-up by you. And, you are more likely to have people come to you if your offering it cheaper. Though, if you get your make-up degree, you can go as high as 500 if your good enough. Though,you need to be with the stars to do that.How much is the going rate for a make-up artist?
i say you have them buy their own make up and you charge them 30 bucks
i think its like 85 or 75 for mac people to do it
