What can I do as a junior in high school to become a hairstylist/make-up artist?

I am currently a junior in high school, and I would like to become a hairstylist/ make-up artist. What can I do to prepare for this?

an tips, websites, advice or anything could really help me.

thank you. What can I do as a junior in high school to become a hairstylist/make-up artist?
I would practice all you can on makeup and haircutting/styling then go off to cosmetology school after high school. If you are good enough, you could probably get a job at a salon interning, or at least being able to watch. I really doubt you would get hired to do hair or anything without the appropriate experience..

Just be sure this is what you want to do.. There are a lot of people out there who think they want to do this or that and by the time they are out of school or stop hanging around with certain people, they completely loose interest. What can I do as a junior in high school to become a hairstylist/make-up artist?
Generally, what you take in high school other than the cores isn't a huge deal. Since you won't get a job solely based on the fact that you took a Cosmetology class in high school. You just need to go to an accredited school and get your education there (so college)

Otherwise, take cosmo class.
